The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. Graston Technique is used by more than 185 professional and amateur sports organizations, and is part of the curriculum at 49 respected colleges and universities.
Graston Technique is highly effective for treating chronic tendinopathies in the Achilles tendon, patellar tendon, rotator cuff, and IT band. We have also had great results treating patients that have failed to improve with traditional physical therapy, massage, and chiropractic, in particular with conditions like plantarfascitis, trochanteric bursitis, and chronic back/neck pain conditions.
My son had an AWESOME experience at Elite Physical Therapy. He went in with his back always feeling tight but is now moving with ease. His physical therapist was Lydia. He really enjoyed Lydia’s positive energy and challenges she gave him each week. Thank You! – K.D. Traverse City
For 5 years I have struggled with plantarfasciitis. Three podiatrists, thousands of dollars spent on shoe inserts, orthopedic shoes, and physical therapy, plus one surgery later and I still wasn’t healing. So…I switched podiatrists and he recommended Kristy at Elite.
What a great healing process it has been with Kristy. So very professional, super friendly, she make you feel very comfortable. The exercises she gave me to do at home were easy and doable. I had been to two other PT’s in the past 5 years, and neither one used the techniques Kristy used (dry needling and Graston Technique). For the first time in 5 years I am pain free! – L.D. – Traverse City
