We are also the only provider in the Traverse City area certified in Graston Technique®, which is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. Graston Technique is used by more than 185 professional and amateur sports organizations, and is part of the curriculum at 49 respected colleges and universities.
Graston Technique is highly effective for treating chronic tendinopathies in the Achilles tendon, patellar tendon, rotator cuff, and IT band. We have also had great results treating patients that have failed to improve with traditional physical therapy, massage, and chiropractic, in particular with conditions like plantarfascitis, trochanteric bursitis, and chronic back/neck pain conditions.
Testimonial: My son had an AWESOME experience at Elite Physical Therapy. He went in with his back always feeling tight but is now moving with ease. His physical therapist was Lydia. He really enjoyed Lydia’s positive energy and challenges she gave him each work. Thank You! – K.D. Traverse City
